2017年12月9日、マンダルヨン市のブッラクマリアシネマを会場に一つのイベントが産声を上げた。その名は“デ ィ ス コ メーション （DiscoMation)”。第一部が1982年にスタートしたテレビアニメ「超時空要塞マクロス」のファンサイト“macrossph”を主宰しているMr. Jonathanによるマクロスの解説セミナー、そして第二部がコスプレコンテストとモーニング娘にインスパイアされた“Ivy！ Musume”のライブ、そしてブッフェタイム。第三部はアニメソングと映像、コスプレがミックスされたアニメレイブ。主宰者の小川晃廣さんによると「フィリピンのオタク事情は横のつながりがあまりないのでこのイベントを通じて様々な分野の人たちが交流を広げられればいい。さらにここから新たなタレントの発掘も狙っていく」とのこと。今後は月1回のペースでディスコメーションを開催して行く予定だという。メトロマニラに新たに誕生したムーブメント。気になった人は次回ぜひ参加してみて。https://www.facebook.com/discomation



On December 9, 2017, the event entitled “DiscoMation” was held in Black Maria Cinema, Mandaluyong City. It was a small gathering of fans for an Anime series called Super Dimensional Fortress Macross. The first part of the event was Mr. Jonathan’s Macross opening remarks. He is the owner of a website “macrossph”, a Filipino Macross fansite. There was a live performance of “Ivy! Musume”, a girl group inspired by Morning Musume. Following was an “Anime Rave Party”, A dance party mixed with animation and cosplay. According to Mr. Ogawa, the Organizer, “Since, news that is relevant to Philippine Otaku do not easily spread within their crowd.
