中国・広東省に起源があり、東南アジアでもおなじみの平たく幅広の米の麺、ホーファン。 漢字で河粉と書くのは、発祥の地、広東省沙河に由来します。同じ米粉の麺でも平たく幅が広いのがホーファンで、丸く細いのがビーフン。中華街ビノンドのビッグボウルヌードルズには牛肉、豚肉、鳥肉、海鮮など６種類のホーファンがそろいます。
