花火に込められた意味
世界各国で楽しまれている花火の中でも、日本の花火には特徴があるとされる。例えば、海外の花火は一般的に円筒形なのに対し、日本のものは球形で、打ち上がった後に空で丸く開く。また、海外では祝いの意味で使われることが多いが、日本では慰霊、疫病退散、平和の願いが込められている。
Hanabi: The Art of Japanese Fireworks
Fireworks displays are unique in every culture, and Japan is no exception. Western fireworks are made in cylindrical shells and create irregular shapes in the sky, while Japanese fireworks are made in spherical shells and create near-perfect circles instead. Hanabi literally means “Fire Flowers.” It is used for celebrating and for warding off evil while also evolving into an art form.
Hakodate Port Festival
The Hakodate Port Festival kicks off with fireworks displays. One of the highlights is the undewater fireworks. The magical fireworks reflected on the sea surface enhance the stunning night view of Hakodate City.
函館港まつり
函館港まつりの開幕を盛り上げる花火大会（第70回道新花火大会）。美しい函館の夜景と水面に映える豪快かつ華麗な花火が見物 。５部構成で約1時間にわたって速射連発、水中花火などが音楽に合わせて打ち上げられる。

Omagari Fireworks Festival
Dating back to 1910, the Omagari Fireworks Festival is recognized as the most prestigious fireworks competition where Japan’s pyrotechnic masters compete. About 18,000 fireworks are launched, including unique “daytime fireworks” early in the evening.
大曲の花火
1910年から続く歴史を持ち、日本全国の花火師が競い合う最も権威ある花火競技大会。夜はもちろん、夕方まだ明るいうちから楽しめる珍しい昼花火など、4時間にわたって約1万8000発の花火が打ち上げられる。

Nagaoka Fireworks
Nagaoka Fireworks is one of the largest fireworks festivals in Japan. It features fireworks with a diameter of 650 meters in the sky and the “Phoenix” fireworks which expands two kilometers wide.
長岡まつり大花火大会
日本有数の規模を誇る花火大会。約２時間開催され、直径650メートルの大輪の花が夜空に咲く正三尺玉、全長約2キロメートルに達する「復興祈願花火フェニックス」などスケールの大きい花火が楽しめる。。

Sumida River Fireworks Festival
The Sumida River Fireworks Festival is a traditional event which conveys the chic atmosphere of the olden days of Tokyo. About 20,000 fireworks are launched. After watching the fireworks, enjoy strolling in Asakusa in a yukata kimono.
隅田川花火大会
江戸の粋な風情を感じさせる花火大会。隅田川を挟む両岸に２つの会場が設けられ、異なる種類の花火を楽しめる。打ち上げられる花火は合計約２万発。花火の後は浴衣姿で浅草観光を楽しむもよし。

Minatomirai 21 Smart Festival
Minatomirai 21 is a vibrant futuristic waterfront district in Cosmopolitan City, Yokohama. The Smart Festival features various live music events, ending with an amazing 25-minute fireworks display with approximately 20,000 shots.
みなとみらい21 スマートフェスティバル
「SDGs未来都市・横浜 」をテーマに国際都市・横浜の魅力を発信するスマート・フェスティバル。音楽をメインとしたイベントのクライマックスとなる25分間に、約２万発もの花火が打ち上げられる。

Lake Suwa Fireworks Festival
The Lake Suwa Fireworks Festival features creative and large-scale fireworks displays such as continuous shooting of fireworks over the lake. As the lake is surrounded by mountains, visitors enjoy the powerful reverberating sound of the fireworks.
諏訪湖祭湖上花火大会
湖上から連続して打ち上がる花火など、湖の特長を生かした独創的でスケールの大きな花火は見物。諏訪湖は周りが山に囲まれていることから花火の音が反響し、見るだけでなく迫力ある音も楽しめる。

Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival
Lake Biwa is the largest freshwater lake in Japan. At the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival, 10,000 fireworks are launched with the beautiful scenery of the sparkling lake surface, the lakeside town, and the night sky as it’s backdrop.
びわ湖大花火大会
日本最大の湖、琵琶湖を舞台に繰り広げられる花火大会。関西有数の規模を誇る。湖面、湖畔、夜空からなるキャンバスに打ち上げられる花火は約1万発。きらめき輝く湖面の幻想的な美しさに圧倒される。

Kanmon Straits Fireworks Festival
The Kanmon Straits Fireworks Festival is the only fireworks display in Japan that is held between two prefectures across a strait. This festival highlights fireworks that open 450 meters in diameter in the sky and underwater fireworks.
関門海峡花火大会
関門海峡を隔て、２つの県境を越えて行われる日本唯一の花火大会。山口県下関市と福岡県北九州市門司に会場が設けられ、直径450メートルに開く一尺半玉や水中花火など約1万5000発の花火が打ち上げられる。
