異次元体験型ミュージアム
静粛の中をじっくりと展示物を眺めて歩くイメージのある美術館。そんな固定概念を覆すのが、首都圏パサイ市に位置する「スペース＆タイム・キューブ」。「美術館」というより「アートミュージアム」といった方がしっくりくるようなモダンな体験型の美術館は、６月１日にソフトオープンして以来、あらゆる年代の人をとりこにしています。
タイムトラベルをテーマとし、20あるキューブ型のスペースは昔ながらの雰囲気と近未来が融合した雰囲気。写真映え抜群で、映像と音響効果を織り交ぜたゲームも楽しめます。
鏡に囲まれた空間に宇宙を映し込んだような浮遊する球体のインスタレーション。宇宙遊泳の気分が楽しめるワンダリング・プラネッツ。

中でも人気なのが、LEDライトに囲まれた17メートルのトンネル。３D技術が使われ、宇宙空間や不思議な生物が映し出されます。また、部屋全体が鏡に囲まれた「ワンダリング・プラネッツ」では、鏡の効果から無限の空間が創り出され、まるで宙に浮いているかのような感覚を味わえます。そのほかプログラミングされたLEDライトが一体化してキラキラと輝く「クリスタル・マトリックス」や、水中に漂っている錯覚に陥る「アンダーウォーター・プール」、バーチャル・リアリティーを使用したジェットコースター・アトラクション、上下反転や傾いた部屋など、さまざまな異次元の世界が繰り広げられます。
スペース＆タイム・キューブは五感と好奇心を刺激し、家族連れにもぴったり。モーションセンサーを使ったゲームや自らが鉛筆で描いてデザインした動物をバーチャル・アニメーションとして画面に映し出す「ファンタジー・グラフィティ」は子どもが楽しめること間違いなし。
2025年にはSMノース・エドサに新館をオープン予定。新たな映像技術の開発も進み、今後のさらなる進化にも期待しましょう。

A Multisensory Museum Experience
Silent halls. Stoic guards. Static displays.
These images often come to mind when people think of art museums. The Space & Time Cube challenges this notion with their innovative and interactive technologies. Since their soft-opening on June 1, the museum has shown that art can be a multisensory experience enjoyed by people of all ages.
From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, the Space & Time Cube provides visitors with an otherworldly escapade that mimics a time traveler’s journey. Visitors can explore 20 instagrammable attractions and immersive games that fuse prehistoric and futuristic elements into cube-shaped rooms.

The most-visited attraction is the Space and Time Tunnel, a 17-meter LED enclosure that transports you into another dimension with its Naked Eye 3D technology. This allows visitors to see 3D effects of galaxies and mythical creatures without the need for red-blue glasses.
Another sight to behold is the Wandering Planets, a room enclosed with mirror ceilings, floors, and walls that create the illusion of infinite space. Its multicolored light fixtures, shaped like planets, make it feel as though you are floating in the cosmos.
You can also spice up your photos with the Crystal Matrix, a visually-striking, full enclosure mirror room with LED strip lights resembling the interiors of a diamond. If you are drawn to eye-trickeries and gravity-defying sensations, there are upside-down and tilted rooms, as well as picturesque zones that give off an underwater illusion.
For the youngsters and kids at heart, Space & Time Cube offers a range of educational and interactive games that utilize motion sensors. Visitors can interact with prehistoric animals in the arcade space and put their creativity into play with the Fantasy Graffiti, an activity area where pencil drawings can be transformed into virtual animations using image capture technology.
This all-in-one multi-sensory experience can be availed by adults (11 y/o and up) for ₱₱880 and ₱₱680 for kids aged 3-10. There is an additional fee of ₱₱250 should you want to ride their 9D roller coaster built with a surround sound system and 180° ultra-large curved high-definition screen that fully immerses you into an alternate reality.
Tickets can be purchased at their branch in S Maison at Conrad, Seaside Blvd., Pasay City on a first-come, first-serve basis. For your convenience, you can also book via the Klook app or SM Ticket outlets.
