ビノンド教会

Binondo Church

　ビノンドのランドマークであり、コミュニティにとって重要な場所でもあるビノンド教会。 「私にとって、ビノンド教会はビノンドの精神的支柱のような存在です。歴史的に重要な意味がある場所であり、フィリピンの聖人サンロレンゾ・ルイス が聖職者として働き、またアンドレス・ボニファシオが２人目の妻と結婚した場所です」

Binodo Church is an important place for the local community as well as a landmark of Binondo. ‘ For me this is the spiritual heart of Binondo. It also reminds me of the reason why Binondo Church was built in the first place as a place for the Chinese who became Catholics. It is also important historically as this was where the first Filipino saint, San Lorenzo Ruiz, served as a sacristan and was where the Filipino revolutionary leader, Andres Bonifacio, married his second wife, Gregoria de Jesus’.
