10歳で見た衝撃と好奇心

　「普通に男女のカップルのキスシーンだと思っていました。キャラクターの１人が女性のように見えたんです。しかし後から男性同士だとわかって……。驚きましたね。こんな内容がYouTubeで閲覧できていいのかと思いつつ、もっと見たいと思うようになりました」

　日本のアニメやマンガ、そしてザ・ガゼット、ラルク アン シエル、アリス九號などのビジュアル系バンドが好きだったディディさんが、初めてBLに出会ったのは10歳の頃。YouTubeで思いつくままにアニメを見ていた時だったそう。

BL作品に国籍を問わず

　BLのアニメを見るのは主にオンライン。好きな作品は『間の楔（あいのくさび）』『テンカウント』『ファインダー』などの日本のBL作品のほか、韓国の『ペインター・オブ・ザ・ナイト』『キリング・ストーキング』『ア・ペインター・ビハインド・ザ・カーテン』など、作家の国籍は問わない。

　「私がBLに惹かれるのは、その筋書きと、キャラクターがどんなふうに展開していくかという点。BL作品の感想を言い合う腐女子の友人もいますが、かなり限定的で少数です」

　東京、大阪、京都に行ったことがあるというディディさん。漫画専門店へ行った時はもちろんBLのコーナーを訪れた。

　「日本へ家族と一緒に行ったので、あまりBL探索できなかったのが残念。相撲を観戦したのがいい思い出。次回は北海道に行きたいと思っています」

BL’s Charm lies in Plot and Character

“I thought that it was just a normal couple kissing, but I was surprised to find they’re both males. I got curious about BL although I didn’t know this kind of topic was open to public.”

Didi watched a BL anime for the first time around the age of ten while she was browsing YouTube. She likes both Japanese BL anime such as Ai no Kusabi, Ten Count, Finder, and others like Painter of the Night, Killing Stalking and A Painter behind the Curtain, which are created by Korean authors.

“I am fascinated by the plot and character development of BL. I have Fujoshi friends to talk with about BL , but only a few.”

Didi has been to Tokyo,Osaka and Kyoto, watching sumo and of course going to BL sections of manga shops.
“I wasn’t able to explore more BL in Japan since I was with my family. I would like to visit Hokkaido next time.”
