歴代大統領の専用車が一堂に。
クラシックカーファン垂涎の博物館

　エミリオ・アギナルド初代大統領からグロリア・マカパガル・アヨロ大統領まで歴代の大統領の専用車を展示している博物館。なぜかこの博物館の設立を提案し、ポルシェに乗っていたというベニグノ・アキノ大統領の専用車は展示されていない。ドゥテルテ大統領の専用車は、退任後に展示されるのだろうか。ダバオではいすゞのピックアップに乗り、2016年の大統領就任式にはトヨタ・ランドクルーザーで乗り付けたというが･･･。

イメルダ夫人のロールスロイス。最上級モデルのファントムⅤにワインやシャンパン、葉巻の貯蔵庫を完備。総生産台数わずか516台で、所有者は英エリザベス女王、ジョン・レノンなど。 1960 Rolls-Royce Phantom V owned by Mrs. Imelda Marcos. The car has a storage of wine and champagne bottles and Cuban cigars. Only 516 Phantom Vs were built. The owners of Phantom V include Queen ElizabethⅡ, John Lennon and so on.

　大統領専用車はキャデラック、クライスラー、今はなきパッカードといったアメリカ車だったのが、フェルディナンド・マルコス大統領のリンカーンを最後に、コラソン・アキノ大統領からメルセデス・ベンツに変わった。今回の大統領選で当選したボンボン・マルコス氏からアメ車に戻るのだろうか。それともニックネームのBBMに近い（？）BMWにするとか？　ちなみに展示されている中で最も高価なのはロールスロイス・ファントムＶであろう。持ち主は、イメルダ・マルコス夫人である。

The Cars Witnessed the History of the Philippines

The Presidential Car Museum of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines displays the vehicles used by past presidents of the Philippines, from President Emilio Aguinaldo to Gloria Macapagal Aroyo. Interestingly, until President Ferdinand Marcos’ Lincoln, American cars such as Cadillac, Chrysler, and defunct Packard were presidential cars, but after President Corazon Aquino, Mercedes-Benz replaced them. If Mr. Bongbong Marcos wins the presidential election, will an American car return to the Presidency? By the way, the most expensive one on display is probably the 1960 Rolls-Royce Phantom V. It was owned by Mrs. Imelda Marcos.
