ちょっと足をのばして極楽の島で過ごす週末

　やっと旅行制限が緩和された昨年 11月中旬、家族４人で待ちに待った旅行へ行きました。行き先はモール・オブ・アジアからジェネラルルナ港まで車で６時間、その後ボートに乗り換えて海を渡ること１時間、透き通る海に囲まれたマリンドゥケ州マニワヤ島！

　海も自然も目に入る景色はすべてが美しく、特にさらさらのホワイトサンドは絵のようでした。そして何より地元の人々がとてもフレンドリーで親切だったので、快適に過ごすことができました。食事は地元の人が営むレストランでバナナの葉に盛られて出てくる、できたてのフィリピン家庭料理を堪能！

　マニワヤ島では、観光客向けに人工的に手を加えるのではなく、島民が一所懸命にその景観と自然を本来の形で守っているのが私たちにもよくわかりました。

　小さな子ども連れでも安心して楽しめる場所や写真映えスポット、恋人とのロマンチックなひと時に最適な場所など、マニワヤ島には旅の目的に合わせて楽しめる場所がそろっています。

　私たち家族は週末の休みを利用して旅行しましたが、短期間でも十分満喫できました。休日にマニラからどこか島に行きたいと考えている人は、ぜひ少し足をのばしてマニワヤ島へ行ってみてください。必要なのは、美しいこの島を全力で楽しむ気持ちだけです！

Stretching Legs to Go Away for Paradise Island

In mid-November, when the quarantine restriction finally got eased, I went on a long-awaited family trip to Maniwaya Island in Marinduque.

Six hours van trip from Mall of Asia to General Luna Port in Quezon Province, and rode in a boat. It took an hour to get Maniwaya island from the port.

The sea, nature, everything was beautiful, especially the crystal-clear sea and powdery white sand were amazing. The local people are friendly and hospitable to visitors. We enjoyed freshly prepared Filipino dishes served on banana leaves at local restaurants.

I realized that local people strive for preserving the prestine nature of the island instead of building artificial tourist attractions.
Safety places for a family with little children, photogenic spots, perfect scenery for romantic moment…Maniwaya Island lives has it all and live up to your expectations.

It was one night and two days trip but we fully enjoyed the island. If you are planning to visit any island during your short vacation or holidays, I highly recommend you to choose Maniwaya Island as your next travel destination! The only thing you need is a good mood to enjoy and experience this beautiful Island.
