Panagbenga Festival

夏の首都と呼ばれる高原の避暑地バギオで毎年2月に行われる恒例の祭り。街のあちらこちらで様々な催しが行われるが、祭りのハイライトはなんといってもフラワーアレンジメントで覆われた巨大な山車のパレード。軽快な音楽にのせてメインストリートを華やかに彩る様は圧巻だ。乗馬やいちご狩りなど祭り会場の周辺でも様々なアクティビティ―が楽しめる。特産品や民芸品などのお土産も人気。

This is one of the most awaited festivals in the Philippines, happening on the whole month of February. There are also lots of exciting activities that you will enjoy such as horseback riding, visiting strawberry farms and have the chance to pick fresh strawberries and a lot more around the vicinity.Souvenirs like scarves, shirts, key chain; also, foods like strawberry jam, peanut brittle, coconut candy and many more that you can carry home. And do not forget to try “strawberry taho” or strawberry flavored soya snack.
