A New Navi Manila for 2018

「けいとうはっせい」とはドイツの生物学者 E.ヘッケルが提唱した「個体発生は系統発生を繰返す」という生物の形態変化をさす言葉ですが、なびマニラの新たな系統発生はまず雑誌タイトル。メトロマニラ限定ではなくフィリピン全土の情報をより広域に発信することを新たな目的としフィリピンを表す“ph”を追加。そして、もう一つが日本語に加え英語、タガログ語での情報提供。従来の日本人読者に加え広くフィリピンのみなさんにもなびマニラを活用していただけることを目指します。さらに今後は誌面にとどまらず日本とフィリピンの交流の一端を担う様々な企画を実施していきます。2018年、進化した“navimanila”にご期待ください。
“Ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny” advocated by German biologist E. Haeckel. It means that the physical development of an organism from birth to maturity repeats the evolutionary process its species have gone through.
Navi Manila is also in the process of evolution, and the first step to this is a change in its name. A suffix “ph” has been added to represent our aim to disseminate information about the whole Philippines, and not only of Metro Manila. Another change is providing information both in English and Tagalog in addition to Japanese. We want Navi Manila to be read more widely by everyone in the Philippines. We will continue to do various projects that will play a part in the exchange between Japan and the Philippines. Expect an evolving Navi Manila in 2018.
